William Morrissey is a professional wrestler currently working for WWE under the ring name Big Cass, a slight modification of his previous ring name, Colin Cassady, which he used during his spell with WWE developmental territory NXT.
Morrissey was born on April 8, 1986 in Queens, New York. He attended Archbishop Molloy High School, and served as a homeless shelter volunteer, peer tutor and a National Honor Society member.
He played basketball during his senior year and featured in the Catholic High Schol Association Senior Classic All-Star Game.
He then attended New York University on a scholarship, entering the pre-medical track, before studying economics. He also played basketball for the New York University team, as a center from the 2005-06 – 2008-09 seasons. He was the teams co-captain for the final season.
Upon graduating from NYU, Morrissey opend up a ticket brokerage company, which s[ecialized in events at Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden.
He has also stated that he has had experience of street performing in the subways of New York City, but added that he had not sung in years.
