Brandi Alexis Runnels is a model, former ring announcer, news presenter, figure skater and professional wrestler, currently working for Total Nonstop Action, under the ring name Brandi Rhodes.

She previously worked for WWE, under the name Eden Stiles.

Personal Life

Brandi Runnels was born in Canton, Michigan. She has one older brother. She graduated from the University of Michigan. Before she re-located to Miami, Florida, she worked as a local news reporter. After moving to Miami, she graduated the University of Miami with a Master’s Degree in broadcast journalism. At the age of four, she began figure skating, and continued to do so competitively for seventeen years.

In September 2013, Brandi and fellow WWE star Cody Runnels were married.

Professional Wrestling Career

Ring Names

Florida Championship Wrestling (2011)

In March 2011, Runnels signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling. She made her debut in April 2011, using the ring-name Brandi. She began accompanying Lucky Cannon.

On July 11th, 2011, She began working as a ring announcer, using the name, Eden Stiles. She went on to work as a ring announcer on NXT and Smackdown.

On July 16th, at FCW Summer Slamarama, she made her in-ring debut in a battle royal match, which was won by Sonia.

After that, she continued to work as an announcer on Smackdown, until December, when at her own request, she was released from her WWE contract.

Return To WWE (2013-2016)

In November 2013, Runnels announced on Twitter that she would be returning to WWE. Upon her return, she continued to use the name Eden Stiles and continued working as a ring announcer. She also began a video blog, which was published on the WWE website and ran from February 2014, until January 2015.

In October, Eden became the regular ring announcer and backstage interviewer for both Smackdown and Main Event. Her PPV announcing debut came at Wrestlemania 31. She also filled in for Lilian Garcia as lead announcer on RAW, whilst Garcia was recovering from surgery.

Departure From WWE (2016-Present)

On May 24, 2016, Runnels was granted her release from WWE, just days after her husband Cody Rhodes was granted his.

Brandi released a statement on her blog, saying that she had been planning on leaving when her contract ran out anyway, but it made sense to leave when her husband did.

She also hinted at other work already being lined up for her outside of WWE.

Independent Circuit (2016)

On June 3, 2016, it was announced that Brandi would accompany Cody during his match against Mike Bennett at Wrestling Under The Stars on August 26.

On October 10, it was announced that Brandi would be making her in-ring wrestling debut at Pro Wrestling Magic, against Jordynne Grace

Total Nonstop Action (2016-Present)

On September 16, 2016, TMZ reprted that Brandi Rhodes had signed with TNA. TNA confirmed the signing three days later. At Bound For Glory, Rhodes debuted, alongside Cody, attacking Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett, beginning a feud between the two couples.

The two teams competed in an inter-gender tag team match on October 28.

Brandi has appeared in national advertisements for KFC and Budweiser, as well as appearing for Maxim. She also has her own line of swimwear called Confection Swimwear.
