Personal Life

Gionna Jene Daddio was born in Paramus, New Jersey and was raised in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. She has four older brothers and a younger sister.

She is a life-long fan of professional wrestling, and would participate in backyard wrestling with her siblings. She says that it was these backyard experiences that formed the core of her future professional wrestling career.

She idolized Lita as a young girl, and cites her as her biggest influence in the wrestling world.

Before pursuing her professional wrestling career, Daddio was a professional cheerleader, and also worked and modeled for restaurant chain Hooters.

NXT (2014-Present)

Gionna Daddio was discovered at Joe DeFranco’s gym in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and then went on to sign with WWE in 2014. She was assigned to their developmental territory NXT in October.

Her first televised appearance came at NXT TakeOver: Rival, where she appeared as a planted fan, who jumped on Tyler Breeze during his entrance.

She appeared again at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, where she was used once again as a part of Breeze’s entrance.

She worked briefly under the name Marley, losing a squash match to Eva Marie on the November 4 episode on NXT.

She then appeared on the December 2 episode of NXT, as Liv Morgan, in a defeat to Emma.

On January 13, 2016, she competed in a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. The match was won by Carmella.

On August 17, she teamed with Carmella and Nikki Glencross, in order to defeat Daria Berenato, Mandy Rose and Alexa Bliss.

On the August 31, episode of NXT, Live Morgan picked up her first televised singles victory, when she defeated Aliyah. She then went on to defeat Rachel Fazio on September 14, before issuing a challenge to NXT Women’s Champion, Asuka.

The following week, Liv Morgan was defeated by Asuka in under a minute.

Following her quick defeat to Asuka, Morgan then entered a feud with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, who confronted her after the match.

Two weeks later, she was defeated by Billie Kay, following interference from Peyton Royce.

On the October 26, episode of NXT, Morgan aligned herself with Aliyah, distracting Billie Kay during her match with Aliyah, allowing Aliyah the victory.
