Trinity Fatu (née McCray) is an actress, dancer, model, singer and professional wrestler, currently working for WWE under the ring name Naomi.

She finished second in the third season of NXT, where Kelly Kelly was her pro.

She began her WWE main roster career as one half of The Funkadactyls, along with Cameron. She is also a main cast member on WWE reality TV show, Total Divas, which featured her real-life wedding to Jonathan Fatu, known in WWE as Jimmy Uso.

Personal Life


Trinity McCray was born in Sanford, Florida.

From 2007-2009, she worked as a cheerleader for the Orlando Magic. She has also starred as a backing dancer for rapper Flo Rida.

McCray and long-time boyfriend Jonathan Fatu, better known as Jimmy Uso, were married on January 16th, 2014, in Maui. She is the stepmother of Fatu’s two children.

Professional Wrestling Career


Ring Names

Florida Championship Wrestling (2009-2011)

In August 2009, McCray signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling. She made her FCW debut on the September 3rd, 2009, as a Lumberjill for the Queen of FCW match between Angela and Serena Mancini. In October, she began using the ring-name Naomi Knight. In her first match, Naomi Knight teamed with Alex Riley in a loss to AJ Lee and Brett DiBiase.

Naomi then became a heel, and teamed up with Rosa Mendes, Maxine, Alicia Fox and Courtney Taylor. Her heel run however, didn’t last too long, as she transitioned back into the babyface role when she defeated Maxine and Savannah, before beating Serena to become the first ever FCW Divas Champion. She defended her title at Father’s Day Salute, against Lavinia.

In July, Naomi Knight retained her title by defeating AJ Lee and Serena in a triple threat match, and then again against Tamina Snuka.

On FCW’s 100th episode, Knight faced AJ Lee in a match where both the FCW Divas Championship and the Queen of FCW title were on the line. The match ended in a double count-out. In September, the feud between Knight and AJ came to a head when Knight defeated AJ in a Lumberjill match.

In October 2010, she dropped the surname Knight and became known simply as Naomi.

On December 16th, Naomi finally lost her FCW Divas championship to AJ Lee. She would have to wait several months before she would get another shot at the title. That match came on the July 8th episode of FCW TV, when she lost a triple threat match against Aksana and Sonia.

On October 9th, Cameron Lynn and Byron Saxton accompanied Naomi to the ring for her match against Leah West. Naomi and Cameron then teamed together on October 23rd to defeat Caylee Turner and Kaitlyn.

On December 11th, Naomi challenged Audrey Marie for the FCW Divas Championship but was defeated.

NXT (2010-2011)

On August 31st, it was revealed that Naomi would be part of the third season of NXT, with Kelly Kelly being her pro. Naomi debuted on the September 7th episode of NXT, when she won a ‘Dance Competition’ and a ‘Capture the Flag’ contest. She also teamed with Kelly Kelly to defeat Maxine and Alicia Fox.

She would go on to win the ‘Who’s That Body’ contest and the ‘Limbo’ contest.

On October 26th, Naomi defeated Maxine in a singles match. She would then go on to pick up wins against Aksana and Kaitlyn, as well as the ‘Diss The Diva’ contest.

On the final episode, Naomi placed second to NXT winner, Kaitlyn.

The Funkadactyls (2012-2014)

On the January 9th, 2012, episode of RAW, Naomi made her debut on the WWE main roster alongside Cameron. They called themselves The Funkadactyls and acted as dancers and valet for Brodus Clay. At TLC, she made her televised main roster in-ring debut, when she participated in a ‘Santa’s Little Helpers Battle Royal’ which she won.

On the February 6th, 2013, episode of Main Event, The Funkadactyls were involved in a segment with Tamina Snuka and Aksana, who had tried to convince Brodus Clay to replace the Funkadactyls with themselves. This led to the first match for Cameron and Naomi as a team, when they defeated Tamina and Aksana.

On the March 15th episode of Smackdown, The Funkadactyls were attacked by The Bella Twins. The Funkadactyls then attacked The Bella’s the following week on RAW. The two teams eventually faced-off in a tag team match on the March 27th episode of Main Event, when The Bella Twins picked up the win, with the help of Cody Rhodes.

This set up a match between The Funkadactyls and Tons of Funk versus The Bella Twins and Team Rhodes Scholars at Wrestlemania 29, but the match was cancelled due to time restraints. Instead, the match took place the following night on RAW, when Tons of Funk and The Funkadactyls came out victorious.

On the August 26th episode of RAW, Cameron and Naomi accompanied Natalya in her loss to Brie Bella. Then AJ Lee interrupted an blasted the whole cast of Total Divas, which led to a feud between the cast of Total Divas and the AJ Lee led group of True Divas.

At Survivor Series, Naomi was a part of Team Total Divas, as they defeated the True Divas. She was also a part of the rematch the following night on RAW, when Team Total Divas were once again successful.

At TLC, Naomi, along with Cameron and Sweet T, abandoned Brodus Clay due to his attitude, this broke-up Tons of Funk. The following night on RAW, The Funkadactyls began accompanying Xavier Woods and R-Truth during their matches.

In January 2014, The Funkadactyls began a feud with AJ Lee and her bodyguard Tamina. This was a part of a push for Naomi, who picked up victories over Lee in various matches. However, during a match with Aksana, Naomi suffered a legitimate eye-injury, when she fractured her orbital bone, which would keep her away from competitive action for a while, thus ending the rivalry.

Naomi returned on the March 17th episode of Smackdown, wearing a diamond studded eye patch. She teamed with Cameron to defeat AJ Lee and Tamina.

At Wrestlemania XXX, Naomi participated in the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational match, which was won by AJ Lee.

On June 17th, Naomi defeated WWE Divas Champion Paige in a non-title match. Cameron, who had previously lost three non-title matches to Paige became frustrated. This led to the Funkadactyls relationship becoming fractured. Cameron began showing more heel bahavious, whilst Naomi remained in the babyface role.

At Money In The Bank, Naomi faced Paige for the WWE Divas Championship, but was unsuccessful.

On the July 7th episode of RAW, Cameron and Naomi lost a tag team match against AJ Lee and Paige. After the match, Cameron and Naomi came to blows, officially disbanding the Funkadactyls. Over the coming weeks, Cameron would continuously attack Naomi. On the July 11th episode of Smackdown, Cameron was facing AJ Lee, when she tried to leave the ringside area, only to be stopped by Naomi and thrown back into the ring to lose the match.This led to a match between Cameron and Naomi on the Battleground, pre-show. The match was won by Cameron, who grabbed Naomi’s tights for the pin.

On August 30th, Naomi announced on Twitter, that she had been out of action following minor surgery on her injured orbital bone.

She made her return on the September 1st episode of RAW, when she attacked Cameron, following a six-woman tag match. Naomi then picked up two consecutive singles victories over Cameron. At Survivor Series, Naomi was on the winning team in a 4-on-4 elimination tag team match. She also eliminated both Cameron and Paige from then match.

Managing The Uso’s (2014-2015)

In December, Naomi became involved in the feud between The Uso’s and The Miz. The feud publicly acknowledged Naomi’s real-life relationship with Jimmy Uso. The Miz started to offer his Hollywood help to further Naomi’s career, whilst also acting in a flirtatious manner, in order to rile up Jimmy Uso. Miz arranged for Naomi to get a WWE Divas title match against Nikki Bella, during the match, The Miz came to ringside to support Naomi, but she lost the match because Jimmy Uso distracted her by confronting The Miz.

On the December 29th episode of RAW, Naomi hugged The Miz and thanked him. Later in the evening, she would join The Uso’s in celebrating their WWE Tag Team Championship victory over The Miz and Damien Mizdow. The feud continued, with Alicia Fox joining forces with Miz and Mizdow and attacking Naomi backstage. This led to several mixed tag team matches between the rival teams, which were won by Miz, Mizdow and Fox.

In February, Naomi and The Uso’s began a brief feud with The Brass Ring Club, after The Uso’s lost the tag titles to Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.

Team B.A.D. (2015-Present)

On March 30th, Naomi defeated WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella to become the number one contender for the title. However, acting General Manager, Kane, granted several other divas a shot at the number one contender’s spot in a battle royal. Naomi was eliminated last by Paige. After the match Naomi’s frustrations got the better of her and she attacked and injured Paige, turning heel in the process for the first time in her WWE career. Paige’s injury granted Naomi a shot at the WWE Divas championship at Extreme Rules, but she failed to defeat Nikki Bella, after Brie Bella interfered.

In May, Naomi formed an alliance with Tamina Snuka, and the pair attacked The Bella Twins, which led to a tag match at Payback, which was won by Naomi and Tamina.

When Paige returned from injury, a triple threat match was made for the Divas championship between Nikki Bella, Paige and Naomi. The match took place at Elimination Chamber. Once again, Naomi was unable to capture the title.

On the July 13th episode of RAW, Stephanie McMahon called for a revolution in the Divas division, and in doing so she brought NXT Women, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks up to the WWE main roster. Lynch and Charlotte would align with Paige to create Team PCB, whilst Sasha Banks aligned with Tamina and Naomi to form Team B.A.D.

The two teams, along with Team Bella, faced-off at SummerSlam, with Team PCB coming out on top.

On the 8th February, Sasha Banks said that she was ‘On her own’ which signaled the end of her alliance with Team B.A.D. Later in the night Team B.A.D. attacked Sasha. The following week on RAW, Sasha Banks was on commentary for Becky Lynch’s match against Tamina. Tamina provoked Bank’s to get involved, Naomi then attacked Banks, setting up a tag team match at Fastlane, that will see Naomi and Tamina take on Sasha and Becky.

At Fastlane, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks defeated Team B.A.D. via submission after Tamina tapped-out to Sasha Banks’ Bank Statement.

On the March 22 episode of Main Event, Emma, alongside Summer Rae attacked Alicia Fox and Natalya during a match between Paige and Naomi. This aligned Emma and Summer with Naomi, Tamina and Lana, with the group calling themselves Team B.A.D. & Blonde.

The following week on RAW, Emma defeated Paige in her return match. After the match Team B.A.D. and Blonde once again attacked, this time however, Eva Marie evened up the sides, causing a 10-Diva Tag Team match to be set for Wrestlemania 32.

At Wrestlemania 32, the Total Divas defeated Team B.A.D. & Blonde, after Naomi tapped-out to Brie Bella’s Yes-Lock.

Naomi is a main cast member for WWE reality TV show, Total Divas, which began airing in July 2013. It was announced on September 9th, that she had been replaced as a cast member for the fifth series by WWE Tough Enough runner-up, Mandy.

In 2014, she released a song called ‘Dance All Night’, which was released along with a music video on WWE’s YouTube channel.

Naomi has appeared in four WWE video games, her debut coming in WWE 13. She then appeared in WWE 2K14, WWE 2K15 and WWE 2K16.
