Thomas James Laughlin is a professional wrestler, promoter, actor, owner, and founder of independent wrestling promotion House of Hardcore. He is better known by his ring name, Tommy Dreamer.

He is famous for his run with Extreme Championship Wrestling during the 1990’s to early 2000’s, where he gained the nickname, The ‘Innovator of Violence’ and became a legend within the promotion, being labelled the ‘Heart and Soul of the company’

Dreamer has also worked for the WWE and TNA, as well as holding back office roles with the latter.

Throughout his career, Dreamer has held several championships, including the ECW Championship on two occassions, becoming the only person to win both the original and the WWE version of the championship.

Personal Life

Dreamer is of Irish and Italian descent.

On October 12, 2002, he married Trisa Hayes, better known as Beulah McGillicutty. Together, they have twin daughters, named Kimberly and Briana.

During an episode of Colt Cabana’s podcast, The Art of Wrestling, Dreamer told Cabana that his family have connections to the New York Mafia, and that during one of his earlier matches in Brooklyn, where he had a lot of family members present, he was attacked and beaten down by Sweet William. His family, unaware of the scripted nature of professional wrestling became angry, leading to his grandfather jumping the security rail and fighting with security, and his aunt telling Sweet William, that she would ‘put a hit’ on him. Luckily, the issue was resolved peacefully.
