There has been speculation of a contract dispute of some sort between Heyman and WWE, possibly stemming from Heyman’s desire to work on projects outside of WWE, and the company’s reluctance for him to do so.
Although many believed that Heyman would re-sign with the company, it has been all quiet on the Western front as far as any official comment from Paul Heyman has been, and to be honest, it would be folly to expect anything different from a master businessman like Heyman.
There has also been no word from the WWE camp with regards Heyman’s contract status, so it is still a little bit up in the air as to whether the two sides have agreed a deal, whether that deal has already been signed or if it will be signed today in Atlanta, Georgia, the site of tonight’s RAW.
There is also the possibility that Heyman will be working on a per-date basis, which would allow him to focus more time to his outside projects, whilst still being by the side of Brock Lesnar for his sporadic appearances.
We do know for sure that Brock Lesnar is scheduled for tonight’s RAW in order, presumably to hype his upcoming match with Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Whether he is alone, or with his advocate in tow, will ago a long way towards answering any questions about Heyman’s future involvement on WWE programming.
